Green Sage Tutoring

Welcome! I specialize in reading and math for lower elementary students, but have knowledge in all core subjects. I have experience working with students with dyslexia and special needs. I bring passion and patience to every student I serve.

“We couldn't have picked a more kind, trustworthy or sensitive mentor for our daughter's first introduction to school.” -Suthi, mother of former student

Services & Pricing

My tutoring services include individual or small group instruction (2-3 students). Currently I am offering online tutoring, or in-person tutoring while taking health and safety precautions during this pandemic. I use a variety of instruction methods to suit the student’s individual needs. A session could be quiet and focused, or use lively games to engage the student. I offer a free phone consultation before a partnership can begin, and I will give updates on the student’s progress via email or phone, when requested.

  • individual (1-on-1) tutoring: $50/hr

  • group tutoring: $35/hr per student

Testimonials

Her patience and consistency made him feel safe and valued, which meant that he also LIKED learning. Working with Elizabeth was a great experience for both me and my son.
— Becky, teacher & mother of former student
Elizabeth Turner was a simply extraordinary mentor to our daughter and her friends. After extensive preparation, Elizabeth created dynamic, semester-long projects that seamlessly blended art, drama, history, and literature. These projects were inspired responses to Greek, Indian, and Mesopotamian mythology. This ‘Memphis Odyssey’ remains one of the highlights of Ruth’s education. We can’t recommend Elizabeth highly enough.
— Scott Newstok, Rhodes College
You have great energy and always bring a smile to your students’ faces.
— Molly, former coworker
Her teaching is well-adapted to the child and he enjoys it.
— Ellen, grandparent of student
Our daughter has been working with Elizabeth 1x weekly over the last few months. I can’t recommend her enough. Professional, well prepared, with patience in spades and our daughter’s reading continues to improve.
— Amanda, parent of student
